This is a typical work by Vik Muniz. The Musee D'Art Contemporain de Montreal (the MAC) has one of his works in their permanent collection that uses a similar technique.
If you look closely at the detail, you'll notice all the bits of paper are the same shape and size. Can you guess what object he used to make each piece of paper?
