It started out as an attempt to protect trees from a certain parasite, and turned into a famous public art movement. Yarn bombing now has a different goal: found mostly in the city, it's meant to liven and brighten a boring and bleak environment. Here, it decorates a poster board in Montreal's Old Port. Tricot Pirate has her own blog where she documents and organizes Yarn Bombing events and art works found all over.

Yarn Bombing is a thrilling experience which requires mastery in the technique as well as speed and creativity.
