The wall this work was created on contains a few hundred bullet holes. About 40 people were killed there during an Palestinian uprising against the Israeli occupation from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. (called the First Intifada).
Banksy travelled to the Middle-East to do this piece for a cause that sparked emotion in him. If you had the chance to do an artwork about any cause and in any place, where would you go and what would you do it on?

- Why would it be wearing armour?
- Do you think the same symbols mean the same things regardless of the culture or country? Does the dove mean the same thing to you than to a Palestinian living there, for example?
